• The search interface has been upgraded to allow users to perform drill down searches. Users no longer have to enter all criteria up front.

Downloading Upgrade:

Product Update:

• Bundled products are now available at CorpTech. New subscribers will now get access to CorpTech.com, a CD-Rom as well as the 4-volume printed "CorpTech Directory of Technology Companies".
• Subscribers with a silver US Tech Plus subscription have been upgraded to include 12,000 record downloads per year.
• Subscribers with a silver US Tech Plus subscription have been upgraded to include additional financial reports for public companies.

Website Look and Feel

The CorpTech website has a new look and feel. We have changed the design and related navigation throughout the site to create a new, easier-to-use website. We believe that this change will help you get a better sense of the breadth and depth of our data as well as experiencing the site's functionality. We very much want to serve your business information needs and help you discover the universe of data that CorpTech researches.

Test Drive:

The test drive feature allows you to experience the site's full functionality for 24 hours. After signing up for a test drive, you are sent, via the email address you enter, a password that enables access to the subscription of your selection. Currently Test Drive is available for our Web Directory and US Technology Plus products. This subscription gives you full access to all the product offers, downloading not included.

Profiles

1. Profiles have been given a face-lift - data is presented in a more readable, user-friendly format. Click here to view the new data presentation.
2. A current stock price lookup is now available for public companies. To get the current price, click on the ticker symbol within the profile of any public company.

Guest Membership:

This feature now offers 25 free snapshots letting you search the database and view snapshot information about companies. A snapshot includes company name, address, phone, fax, web site, ownership, year formed, sales, CEO, and primary industry. It also includes current news articles associated with the company.

March 2004:

CorpTech has created "Company Snapshots" to fulfill the diverse needs in the marketplace. Company Snapshots are for individuals who do not need as much in-depth company information. Company Snapshots include name, address, contact numbers, alternate names, ownership, sales volume, CEO, industry category, corporate family and affiliates, plus newswire stories and articles. Subscriptions are available on a one-month, three-month, six-month, and yearly basis.

CorpTech has added newswire stories and articles to the Gold and Silver subscriptions. Subscribers can now view the latest news in Company Snapshot, Standard and Extended profile reports for up to 30 days.

January 2004:

Hyperlinking within profiles is now available for records accessed from the Advance Search screen. Advanced search is available to subscribers and guest members but not visitors. The following fields now have hyperlinking available:

• City
• State
• Zip
• Industry
• CorpTech Product Code

Previous searches: - A history of up to 5 recent searches is now available at the bottom of the Advanced Search page. This new functionality allows the following:

• "Open" the recent search. Selecting this functionality executes the search and places you on the results page for the search.
• "Start with" the recent search. Selecting this functionality pre-fills the criteria from the recent search so that you can modify or extend the search criteria before obtaining the results.

Guest membership changes:

• If you sign up for guest membership or are already a guest member, we have now made all of our advanced search criteria available to you. This includes all of the features for searching that are currently available to our subscribers. We have removed Powersearch from the homepage.
  
  
• If you are not an already a member, click here to sign up for free membership.
• If you are already a member, simply click on the "Subscriber Login" image or the search button at the top of the homepage and enter your username and password to get to the Advanced Search page.
• Guest members are now able to view up to 50 free profiles over the life of the guest membership. This makes available the first 2 results of any search that you execute.

December 2003:

CorpTech has limited the number of profiles a guest member can view to 50 during the lifetime of the membership. A guest member will have the ability to view the first 5 profiles of any created list until the 50 profile limit has been reached. Historical Data Product

After repeated requests from many interested parties, we produced a Historical Data product. This product gives "a yearly snapshot in time" for the companies that CorpTech has collected going back for up to 15 years. October 2003:

1. You can now target companies by executive responsibilities. This feature allows you to isolate companies by the executive responsibilities in those companies. If you have a Gold subscription and wish to download mailing label data, you can elect to have missing responsibilities default to the CEO by clicking the "default to CEO" box when searching.
2. Multiple selection is now available for all indexes, using the Ctrl or Shift key.
3. Search index lookup is now available. Just click on the link accompanying the index headings to display available values and current counts.
4. The zip code search now accepts 3- or 5-digit codes.

• Primary Industry: - Allows you to search for companies based on the high-tech industry from which they get the majority of their revenues.
• Industry Code Group: - Allows you to search on CorpTechs 18 areas of high-technology.
• CorpTech Major Code: - Allows you to search on CorpTechs 250 specific technology areas.
• Product Codes: - Allow you to search by over 3,000 specific CorpTech product codes.
• Technology Phrase Index - Allows you to search on over 17,000 current technology phrases.
• Free Text Search against Technology Phrases to identify phrases and related codes.
• Search by multiple SIC and or NAICs.
6. The results page now displays your selection criteria.
7. Revenue growth has been added as a sort criteria.
8. Demographics data has been upgraded to add more data and counts.
